Combining Hujar’s iconic portraits with more than fifty personal letters and postcards from Thek, the book offers a tender, melancholic portrait of their lives as artists, lovers, and friends.

The publication traces their travels, creative development, and emotional bond—from early moments together in Florida to their years in New York, Italy, and Fire Island. Alongside celebrated images, many previously unpublished photographs reveal a more candid and playful side of their relationship.
